I've been away to Poland (Warsaw is amazing!) and even though I tried to stay online and in the work mode, I've still somehow forgotten to share not one but two links to my new texts: I've written about the new entertainment trend of crazy real-life quest games in Russia for The Calvert Journal here and it was also republished on the Guardian here.
You know writing about food is my second favourite thing to do (the first one is to eat, obvs). Here in The Calvert Journal I wrote about the politics of street food, Nikita Mikhalkov's fast food ambitions and the Russian fast food chains that already exist. Spoiler alert: I really like two of them: the georgian Vai Me (aka Why Me) in Moscow and typical Russian Teremok all over the country. I also want more khachapuri places available around he city because I can not be stopped in my all-consuming love for cheese and pastry.
Mt piece for The Calvert Journal on the superheroes and comic book characters ahs been republished in The Moscow Times here.
Also, my most recent session of googling my own name (we all do it, right?) came up with an interesting link to my profile of Pavel Durov (written for The Calvert Journal, here) has been translated into Chinese and published on the China Youth On Line website. If you happen to know Chinese, you can read it here.

I was honestly hoping to find a decent character but it turned out to be all about militarism, sexism and unimaginative copies. But then these things reflect reality, so no big suprise.
Write something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview.
